Ticket #9997 in : Resolved

Headers are displayed just after the page refresh

  • Gavin Chappellbates

    Hi,

Whenever I move to a different section of my website, i.e. from ‘news’ to ‘gigs’, the header that appears is the one from the previous section, not the one that has been uploaded for that page / section.

If I refresh the page in my browser then it changes to the correct banner.

If I look on a new machine, the header is blank to begin with, unless I refresh the page.

This seems OK with individual posts.

    Any assistance gratefully appreciated.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hi Gavin,

I see that you are using two cache plugins at the same time. This can make a lot of troubles. Please disable all the cache/optimization plugins until you finish the website customization.

Let me know how it goes!

So I have finished customisation of the website. The only things left to resolve are the headers and loading times.

I have disabled the following plugins:

    • Autoptimize
    • EWWW Image Optimizer
    • W3 Total Cache (deleted as it was not activated anyway)
    • WP Super Cache

The headers seem to be working now but the site is very slow to load.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks

    Gavin

    Hi Gavin,

I am sorry for keeping you waiting for so long.

The problem comes when you are using multiple cache plugins. For instance, use the Image Optimizer plugin in combo with one of the cache plugins you mentioned above, for instance, Automptimize.

If need more help on this, please check our custom services page: http://wolfthemes.com/custom-wordpress-services/

    Thanks for understanding.

    Hi.

These are all plugins I was advised by you to activate. Should I not reactivate them all now?

I assume you are offering a different service at a cost; can you please advise what the cost is and what you can offer to do to dramatically improve the speed of the site?

    Thanks

    Gavin

    Hi Gavin,

I hope you had a great weekend!

We didn’t recommend to install multiple cache plugins at the same time. We provided alternatives, examples. 🙂

For the price quote, please fill the form from the above link. Is a different department.

    Thank you!
